What to expect during the masterclass:
- An unconventional winemaker.
In the Colli Orientali del Friuli, Marco Cecchini has chosen a radical path: leaving everything behind and rebuilding a vineyard from scratch, without compromise. During the masterclass you will discover his journey and his production philosophy, based on manual work, clear choices toward natural winemaking, and a direct relationship with the land.
- A living territory.
The Colli Orientali del Friuli are a complex and varied ecosystem, where soils, climate, and biodiversity give life to deeply distinctive wines. Through Marco’s storytelling, you will enter the heart of this territory, understanding how every vineyard decision influences what you find in the glass.
- Explanation of handmade wines, tasted with the person who creates them.
Each label comes from meticulous work: five passes in the vineyard every year for each vine, no mechanization, only hands and experience. You will taste the wines together with Marco Cecchini, who will personally guide you through his bottles, telling you about the origin, evolution, and character of each wine.
- A direct experience with the producer.
Not just theory, but an authentic dialogue with Marco, who makes wine every day. A masterclass to truly understand what it means to produce wine today when choosing a more difficult but deeply identity-driven path.

Who's the speaker
Marco Cecchini is the soul of his vineyard in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. After studying Economics, he chose to change direction and fully dedicate himself to the land, starting from abandoned vineyards and rebuilding everything from scratch, season after season.
His is a radical vision of viticulture: no mechanization, manual work on every single vine, and constant attention to the natural balance of the vineyard, where biodiversity and human intervention coexist in an authentic way. All of this takes place in a small winery producing 15,000 bottles per year.
Today, Marco continues to carry forward this independent approach, turning each harvest into a collective moment shared with family, friends, and the local community.
In this masterclass, he will personally guide us, sharing his journey and production choices, helping us truly enter his way of making wine: direct, essential, and deeply rooted in the territory.
