Every season, a new selection

Three territories. Six wines. Always something new to discover.

Every season, we collaborate with expert sommeliers to build a completely new selection. We choose two Italian regions and one French region and look for wines, producers, and territories that we believe are worth knowing about.

You don't have to know what you're looking for yet. Part of the fun is discovering wines you probably wouldn't have chosen on your own.

This autumn, we’re bringing you here.

Here are the territories we have chosen for this season's selection.

01

Loire

One of the most diverse and fascinating territories in France. Tense whites and light reds along the same river, with evident differences from one area to another.

02

Aosta Valley

Mountain vineyards, small-scale production, and grape varieties rarely found elsewhere. Vertical whites and mountain reds, born of the altitude.

03

Emilia Romagna

A great region for dining, with a world of wine still to be explored. Sparkling wines, native grape varieties, and gastronomic wines, between tradition and new producers.

From past seasons

Here is where we have been for the last few seasons.

The club is an ongoing journey. These are the three previous seasons, with a few discoveries worth remembering.

A summer to bring to the table: Mediterranean wines to share, territories to discover, and a few bottles capable of turning a dinner into something to remember.

Three territories to break away from the usual choices: bottles you won’t come across by chance, little stories to tell, and new wines to bring to your evenings.

Rediscovered grapesLa Vernaza, an ancient Valsugana variety that had almost disappeared, was recovered by Ferrai and even transformed into a Metodo Classico Brut Nature.
Two interpretationsChardonnay from Orsaria and Riesling from Marco Cecchini, two different ways of telling the story of the Friulian territory.

For us, winter is also the time for bottles to be opened at leisure: great reds, whites to discover, and a few wines to save for the right occasion.

KaefferkopfA Riesling from one of the historic crus of Alsace, already delimited in 1932 and now a Grand Cru.
2,000 bottlesAlcineo di Palazzo, produced in Montalcino only in the best years and in just 2,000 bottles.
Dry GewürztraminerA less predictable take on the Alsatian grape variety: aromatic, yet interpreted by Freyburger in a dry style.
Plus

And if you want, the season becomes yours.

With Plus, we also start with your tastes to tailor the seasonal selection around you.

Personalization doesn't mean always giving you what you already know, but knowing where to start to help you discover something more.

About Us

Our job is to search.

Sommelier Wine Box was born from a simple idea: there is always something interesting to discover in wine, but finding it requires time, research, and expertise.

That is why we collaborate with expert sommeliers, visit wineries, meet producers, and taste wines in Italy and France.

We then transform that research into selections and journeys designed for the people who trust us.

Every season we work with different sommeliers to bring new skills, territories, and points of view to the club.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most often.

What is the difference between Classic and Plus?

Classic is the seasonal selection chosen by us, the same for everyone. Plus starts with the same research but we also tailor it to your tastes, and you get to see it before it ships.

How does the 2-bottle trial work?

With Plus, you pay nothing today: you will see the proposal within three days and can modify or cancel it. If you have not cancelled after seven days, you will receive the two bottles at the indicated price. With Classic, you pay for the two bottles immediately.

How much time do I have to decide?

Four weeks. The program starts three weeks after the trial, and until then, you can stop without having to explain anything.

What happens after the trial?

Start the journey you have chosen.

How much does the Plus membership cost?

€49 per year instead of €79. It is included if you prepay for the full year.

What discounts are available if I prepay?

4% on two selections and 8% on four. With four selections, the Plus membership is also included.

How much does shipping cost?

€7.90 in Italy and €9.90 in Europe, per shipment.

Can I cancel?

Yes, it is always possible to cancel before each renewal.

Can I choose the wines myself?

With Classic no, the selection is a surprise and designed for the season. With Plus, you can see the proposed selection before shipment and replace the bottles that don't convince you.

How often do I receive the wine?

Once per season, four times a year. We will notify you before preparing each shipment.

Do I receive the same wines as the regions I see on the page?

The seasonal selection originates from those territories. With Plus, the selection is tailored to your tastes, so the bottles may differ.

Can I change my preferences?

Yes, whenever you like. The feedback after each season is what makes the next selection more precise.
